The Sims 4 - Unable to Start. [SOLVED] Empty The Sims 4 - Unable to Start. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Mon 26 Dec 2016, 10:35

Sims 4 has been working perfectly fine before I applied the City Living from the forum post. Woke up this morning and started to apply the City Living From G4TW, applied it and then went to go play it, a message pops up;

"Unable to Start

Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running
before attempting to play The Sims 4

[d3382.ced]"

Anyone have any idea why this isn't working now?

Your anti-virus has destroyed the "crack".
When you have a 64-bits computer, try to start the game with TS4_x64.exe
Otherwise re-apply the crack from the download and make sure your installationfolder is added to the exclusions of your anti-virus.

The crack comes with City Living no? I've made the exceptions in my anti virus and i've dragged the CL .rar files to my sims 4 directory again but still comes up with it.

//EDIT

Luckily enough I have found the problem with my version, moved the whole of The Sims 4 file to desktop and it seems to work now without that error message coming up. Thanks for the assistance.

Hello @Mr0Blue and welcome to the Forum,

To my knowledge, you can have the folder anywhere but under C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts. I myself have it under C:\Program files (because I want to use the 64-bit version of the game, which doesn't work under Program files x86).

Glad to hear the game is working for you now seemingly! Feel free to get in touch with us again anytime you need more advice or support on anything we can help with! Until then, have fun!

Problem solved, topic closed. Smile
