Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.

Hello. i been around here for awhile now. I just recently did a fresh install because my last folder got all messed up. I been playing sims on this desktop for well over a year and have not had a problem until now. When ever i go to make a animal i get "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware". my pc has always been able to run this no issues. however is the new 3d modeling messing it up? please any help will be greatly appreciated i been waiting for this expansion forever!

Hello and welcome to the Forum @megan_boast,

Can you press the Windows key + R, type dxdiag, and then hit enter? After a little while another window will come up. Could you navigate to the tab that is named "Display", and upload a screenshot of it here?

For some reason everything works BUT when trying to make a mix breed dog. when doing that i get application has been blocked. cats work fine and so does everything else

Unfortunately I myself have no experience with Intel HD graphics.   The best I can suggest is you try and see if there are any updates available. The tool here could be of use in that:

Edit: I'm not even sure if, and to what extent Intel HD cards are supported for the Cats & Dogs expansion.
