Sims pet stories

OK I've tried everything even did research still can't get it to work. First off it starts and loads in windowed mode and when doing that once the story loads it goes full screen and black don't let me go to desktop but I still go into settings and change it because I can still see it in task bar preview. Then I proceed to play at the part where she get to the mall it's fine then I have to go to another lot. While loading it converts itself back to original graphic setting and sends me back home then says the Sims stories has stopped working. I have read through the post and tried everything from DEP settings to running as administrater and compatibility mode nothing is working.
I have windows 10 pro with Intel(R) hd graphics
