Installation directory not in C:
The instructions to install the latest City Living release are to : "move the folder directly under either C:\Program files or C:\Program files (x86)", which then fixes the "Origin not installed" error. Well, I have my game installed at "E:\Program files (x86)\Origin Games\" because I have a laptop with a tiny SSD and barely any space on the C:\ drive. I got the Origin error after copying files from the .rar file. I initially wanted to post here right away but decided to first try moving the game folder to "E:\Program files (x86)" and found that that worked for me and the game started without error after I redirected the shortcut. Posting here in case other people might have a similar problem and that it's not necessary to install it on the windows drive.

Hello @raykykgrou0,
You are absolutely correct with your conclusion. You can have the game in almost any location/hard-drive accessible to your computer. The main message of the guide (even if it doesn't appear as such to the outsider) is, you cannot have the game under C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts, which is the default location when you install the TS4 Base game from Games4theworld.

merely out of simplicity. Of course it doesn't take into account the fact that people may have multiple hard-drives, but in practice it mostly works out, for the average user.
