Sims 3 Pets--error at startup?

So, I installed Sims 3 Pets yesterday, and every time I try to open it, it tells me "Error at startup" and shuts down. The only way I can play ANY of my games is if I uninstall pets. But I really wanna play. Can anyone help?

Absolutely nothing is happening. At all. I'm double clicking on TS3W.exe and everything, and nothing happens.

Right-click on the "TS3.exe" file (In the same folder) and choose "Run as Admin", see if it makes a difference.

I tried that too. No response.

Please try as following:

*Backup all your savegames

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 3 + All expansions.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall following exactly these instructions: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
4. See if it works now.

Please delete The Sims 3: Pets and then restart your PC. (!)
Now, reinstall the game following exactly these instructions:

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When
you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and
drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is
done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now,
start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should
be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
