The Sims 3 update - virus?!

Just downloaded the fix for update 1.29.. aaaaaaand my Norton shit says that both crack files contains virus?! W T F..

VERY unlikely its a virus, as long as you downloaded it from here and not from another website.
im using COMODO and when i download it i had no warning.
It's most likely just Norton being programmed to warn you that files like the fix are viruses when they're not. alot of firewall/anitvirus software do it. You have nothing to worry about.

yeah, probably is. but that shitty program just blocked the crack files, soooo.. now i can't even play the damn game. getting a bit pissed right about now!

I have no idea how Norton works, never used it. im sure there's an option to ignore or disable it while your installing the Fix, just remember to turn it back on after, and i would recommend turning the internet off while it's off too until its back on. Dont want a real virus to get in.

I think you should be able to allow exceptions. You can add the crack to the exceptions list. No idea how to do that, but the best way to figure out is probably finding your security center's help text.
