windows restat's while playing sims 3. [SOLVED]

happen every few minutes .
didn't happened before.
installed sims 3 basic and pets.
didn't updated (selected cancel when asked about updates).
doe's it means that something wrong with the installed game and i have to find other and re-install?
(in that case is there a way to save already made households etc.).
or is there another way to fix it ?

i mean what exactly i make in the game content, from where to where ?

In order to save your gameplay, go to the following folder: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\
Here, you'll see a folder called "saves", right? Right click on that folder and choose "Copy". Now paste the folder on your Desktop and store it for later.
After reinstalling correctly or whenever you like, you can put the folder back and (if needed) choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the folder/files already exist(s).

Done everything
according the instructions ( replaced the cracks in the bin of base game and
pets with the ones came with the new fix).




When came to
game updating stage in the launcher, it says “your game is updated”, pressing
refresh didn’t help.


The game version shows 1.26.89.013017.


When putting he courser on the base game icon in the bottom it shows “the sims 3 0.0.0.0


Putting it on
the pets icon says: “requires the sims 3 pets”

just to be sure that i'm not going to do something wrong .
it says to use the downloaded manual update instead of step 13 in the fix.
(which is updating using the launcher ).
how exactly i do it?
do,i have to copy the manual update to the base game bin, and then open it?
do i have to repeat again all fix steps?

No, manual updating means not updating via the launcher, but using the manual patch wizard instead, which is linked to in this post:https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v129-fix-manual-patch-updated

Download the patch and copy it to your Desktop. Now run it. After it has finished, your game should be updated to the latest version, without the need of using the launcher.

ok it updated to ver.1.29 with the manual update, but now after starting the game and after it downloading the pets stage, it says:
"no game disc found ! please insert the sims 3 pets game disc..... "
do you think that i should repeat again the stages of the new fix?

edit:
tried to repeat the steps of copying the crack files (base and pets) to the game bin and it didn't help.
now when i'm trying to enter trough the crack in the bin, it doesn't start and says :
"looks you installed an unofficial game...."
when i open trough another place it says the first above notice.
please help.
do you think i should reinstall the games from the beginning?

You're doing great so far. The "Please insert disc" error can be easily solved by using the crack included with the Fix.
Please download the latest version of the Fix and then open the "# Crack" folder inside it. Copy the two .exe files in there to exactly: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist. Good luck!

when i'm doing it the copying process stuck and doesn't progress for a long time like something wrong with it.
btw only one of the files in the crack folder is an exe. the other one is .dll .
the dll copying was successful but the exe. not.
tried to replace the exe by cutting first the exist one but it again stacks.
now every time i try to start the game it says :

wow!! people, this man, the administrator, is a genius, you can't imagine what a complicated problem with my pc, and the game, he solved .

just for my knowledge, did you first updated game and then copied the 2 files from 'crack' folder which in the fix, to the base game bin?

btw, it doesn't kept the game saves .
i kept the saves folder which i made before problems started, do you think it still can be done?
if not, it's alright, as long as the game works we are very, very happy !!!


one more very important benefit I've got from you is that before i tried everything and couldn't remove the roxio 2010 program.
the UN-installer yow showed me done it immediately.
thanks for that as well.

For your information; yes, I updated the game first (Without applying any cracks) and then copied the files from the "# Crack" folder to the base game's game\bin.

Oh yes, I'm sorry, I wanted to uninstall the Roxio thing for you too, but totally forgot. Ah, at least you uninstalled it yourself. Also sorry about your savegames.

it didn't worked with the 'saves'.
if it would save it, it should be appear right when entering the game? (i mean for example when entering 'sunset valley' ) or i have to search it somehow?
anyway, as i said, we are very happy that the game work fine so this is not an issue.
