IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT GENERATIONS

I've read several instructions on this forum but alot of the info seems to be conflicting about which folder to crack. I keep getting disc authentication failure for generations. I am installing the sims 3 and generations expansion pack ONLY! I have the ultimate fix file with all the cracks that this website provided. However, I want to know if the steps I am going to take are correct:

1) Install sims 3 base game, don't crack or update
2) Install generations (during installation the game will ask you to update to continue, then will update to version 8.0.152)
3) Do I use the sims 3 base game crack along with the generations crack or just use to generations crack and place it into the base game bin folder? I also saw on the ultimate fix instructions about # crack folder. Should I use this and how and when? Should i still update the game even after it has updated itself while installing generations. And should I have EA download manager?

Please help me. I feel so retarded nd duno wat to do. I've been trying everything with no success. I know the instructions are there but i just want to know which cracks to use. Should I use both the base game crack along with the generations crack or just one. And what about the # crack folder? when should that be used?

Hello,

First of all, the EA Download Manager (Now called Origin) isn't needed, but there's no harm in installing it either, so it's your choice.
The instructions you have to follow at this stage, are the ones included with the Fix. It might look like the instructions are wrong or something, but they are not, just read and apply them, how silly they look.
What you have to do with the "# Crack" folder - it's all described in the included "# Installation Guide.pdf". Good luck!

Thanks for ur help I got it to work. But I have another question. I currently have only the generations expansion pack but I want to install the other expansion packs? Do I have to uninstall everything and start fresh or can I just install the expansion packs and use the fix to crack them?

Hello,

No need to uninstall anything, just install the expansions and don't apply any cracks! If you get an "Please insert disc error", just re-apply the latest version of the Fix.
