Windows 8.1 high cpu usage, high disk usage and poor performance generally.
Hi, guys. I'm new in here, so please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong section. So... I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit form here. Made a bootable USB and installed it following the guide provided with the torrent. Everything went like charm. Activation succesful, instalation succesful everything was good and I was happy. But... my computer was a fast one with my previous system - Windows 7 32-bit - and now it's not. It's slow, laggy, freezes and is generaly unusable like this. It takes so much even for Mozila to open, that sometimes I'm not sure if it will open at all. And if I open more than two tabs, it freezes and I have to just kill the task form Task Manager. Playing TS4 is unthinkable, because the experience is horrible even with the game on the lowest setting. But my bigest problem are the alarming stats in Task Manager. With only Mozila open CPU usage goes to 78-90%, memory usage is constantly close to 100% and disk usage is the same. I really don't want to revert back to Win7...
Here are the specs of my PC (it is desktop btw, not a laptop)
Motherboard: ASUS P5VD2-VM SE
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
RAM: 2,00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.
I haven't messed with any drivers per se, but from what I have read till now it might come to that (and I'm kind of scared of messing with drivers). Fortunately there are drivers for my type of motherboard on ASUS's official page.
I will post some screenshots of the Task Manager.(Ok, so, I've caught it with no so high CPU usage, but the disk usage is high).
I hope I've explained the problem. And my actual question is - do anyone know what's going on and how to fix the problem?
P.S: I've scanned with Malwarebytes and the built-in Windows defender. The latter didn't find anything except the KMSAuto file, wich I added to exeptions. The former marked as PUP some leftover files of SpyHunter, which I deleted.

Hello and welcome to the Forum @chimerraaa,
I also apologize for the late reply, but I used that download myself back then as well. In my recollection, there was nothing wrong with it, but I did not like this Windows 8 in general very much, with all these "fancy" features like this new start menu organization. I very soon ditched it, and didn't regret it.
I'm not sure if downloading Windows updates or maybe looking for custom-drivers from your laptop manufacturer can help in your situation, but in case not, you should also consider ditching Windows 8, and rolling back with Windows 7. Or, maybe even try Windows 10, which appears to be a slightly improved version of Windows 8.
Good luck, and I'm sorry I can't really say more about this.

Hi there,
It seems like Windows Defender is running a background scan of the system. Try disabling it and see if it lowers down the disk usage.

Thank you very much for your replies. Both of you. I don't really think it's a problem with the download itself. Most likely it's the Windows and maybe I've made a mistake with the 64-bit OS. Maybe I should've remained with the 32-bit. I've tried shutting down the Windows Defender, but I'm being denied access. The thing is... there are too much Windows processes and services running in the background. For example there are 11 svchost services. I think I'll just go back to Windows 7 be done with it.

Hello again,
I re-read your opening post (and your newest reply) and thought: "woahh!". If your computer only supports 32-bit (hardware-wise), then you cannot install a 64-bit operating system on it. As for that G4TW-download, I can't recall anymore whether that was suitable for 32-bit computers as well.
Yes, you can either go back to Windows 7 32-bit, or maybe look on the torrent networks like The Piratebay specifically for a "Windows 8 x86" (a.k.a. 32-bit-version).
