Insert Island Paradise Disk Error - Origin version of Sims 3, Late Night, and high end loft stuff bundle!
Hi there, I recently purchased the Sims 3, Late night and high end loft stuff bundle on Origin. I then installed all expansions from G4TW up to island paradise. I followed all of the install instructions, and have previously installed the base game and all expansions and stuff packs from G4TW on my old laptop with no problems that I wasn't able to fix.
I also copied and pasted the ultimate fix crack into the ProgramFiles(x86)/OriginGames/TheSims3/Bin folder.
However, when I go to start my game using the Island Paradise application origin immediately opens making me choose my original digital copy of the Sims 3 to start, but when I try to start using it I get the "Insert Island Paradise CD" error.
I have also tried running the application as administrator, starting the game with the crack I copied into the Sims 3 bin folder, and I also tried uninstalling Origin to hopefully bypass it but no luck. So far I have found no working way of bypassing Origin.
Should I just refund the origin games I bought and reinstall the whole collection from G4TW, or is there any other work around....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello amylou and welcome to the forum,
Have you made really sure to follow the steps from #2 to #5 here ?
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17208-sims-3-has-stopped-working#118442
And you really replaced all of the existing files, when you pasted the Ultimate fix to C:\Program files(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin ?
It used to work in the past, but who knows ? Maybe Origin changed something about TS3, so that you cannot use the Ultimate fix anymore.

Re: Insert Island Paradise Disk Error - Origin version of Sims 3, Late Night, and high end loft stuff bundle!
Oh wow, I just realised I didn't do step 2 - "Download base game manual patch after installing it". Do I do that even though I purchased it in Origin....I followed all of the other steps so its the only thing I can think of.
Yea I was worried that using Origin would cause a problem, but I have seen that others have still been able to play there expansions from G4TW with no issues, however there was some talk that there are two versions of the Digital Sims 3, one where you are not required to use Origin to launch and one where you are...
Thanks anyway.

I don't have the game on Origin, hence I cannot tell anything about the intricacies of that. But yes, now that you mention it, I remember again this here:
http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2014/02/sims-3-base-game-versions.html
It's possible that this "newer" Origin version of the TS3 base game doesn't work (well) with pirated games. But then again, I can't tell. And yes, you should also try the manual patch, mentioned in the guide. Good luck !
