Sims 3 deformed pets

Seems like many players [including myself] have this issue...the pets in Sims 3 pets are totally deformed..while in create-a-pet;while in game ..and even the other pets [those who aren't yours] are totally deformed.
So I am wondering, is there a way to fix this issue?

Hello,
Unfortunately, this has to do with your graphics card. Even if the game worked fine before, the minimum requirements have changed since Pets and some cards are no longer supported and this is exactly the glitch that occurs with unsupported graphics cards.
Having said that, the glitch also occurs on some pc's that do meet the requirements, its unsure at this time why the glitch appears on these systems, perhaps the chipset. You could read more about it here.

Ya but that is what bothers me the most ...the fact that even Pets itself worked....and I didn't patch it or so...simply reinstalled it and bam...it started beeing glitched...Seems kinda strange.

So you're saying that you had Pets installed before, but the glitch wasn't there until you reinstalled the game for some reason? And nothing about your system has changed, your graphics drivers are up to date?

Yup ...that's what I'm trying to say..and it's the thing that bothers me the most, knowing that it worked and all the sudden it doesn't

Did you remember to put advance rendering on? i think it's turned off by default.
Also, during the time the Sims wasn't installed on your PC, did you update anything that relates to your graphics card?
