CC Trouble? Empty CC Trouble?

Post by Guest Sat 01 Jul 2017, 10:18

(wasn't sure where to put this)
Hello! I recently had to factory reset my laptop because of an error I was having and I lost all my Sims 4 games so I have been re-downloading them. It seems that re-downloading them(Sims 4, Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling, Parenthood, Fitness) , the CC doesn't work. It worked before I had factory reset my laptop, and I downloaded all of them correctly. When I put CC in my game and load it up, It freezes at the "The Sims 4" logo screen and it won't even let me exit to my desktop, but when I take the Mods folder out it works perfectly.
Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? I can usually figure this kind of stuff out myself but I can't do this lol.
I appreciate any advice given, thank you so much!  Tea 3

UPDATE: So I fixed the CC problem by renaming my Sims 4 folder to Sims 4_ but now the packs aren't showing up in game lol  I is confused

UPDATE: It was working almost perfectly, wasn't showing Parenthood pack or the Fitness pack but the CC and everything else was good, now it's just crashing upon open. I think I may give up on Sims 4 lol

No, there might just be a mod that is not working with this version of Sims 4. You now have to find the culprit. Either use the Mods Conflict Detector from mod the sims, ( which is not 100 % foolproof, but helps to eliminate a lot ) and then you can do the 50/50 method. time consuming, but effective. You devide your mods into smaller batches and add them to mods folder, run game and check if it runs. If yes, those mods are safe and can be left in. If not, you know the corrupt mod or cc is in that file. Move out, divide and repeat. this you will have to do with all of them. Start with script mods.

That's what I've been doing lol. It's doing this with only a couple pieces of cc and no script mods.

Hi @Angenix,

Have you decided to completely uninstall the Sims 4 or perhaps changed your mind and decided to install them again.

Things to take note is always test your game with a 'fresh' sims 4 folder (Documents) and see if there is any issue with any of the packs (EPs).

Keep me updated if you decided to do either one, so I may close this thread.

Cheers!
