Sims 4 gives the error unable to start...
Hello,
I followed each step correctly. This is what I've done:
Downloaded Sims 4 from the download site.
Downloaded Get to work from the download site.
Downloaded get together from the download site.
Downloaded City living from the download site.
Installed and tested Sims 4. (Worked correctly.)
Installed Get to work. (freezes the ending screen. I mean that when you start Sims 4, you'll get notifications that you installed a new DLC which means you'll get this item, and this... After closing every notification, the game freezes.)
Decided to do this:
Installed get together and City living by dragging in to the folder Sims 4 located under c/program files (x86)/the sims)
After that, I got the error Unable to start: See picture.
I decided to go to the fix site where you can download fixes.
I downloaded the update fix.
I installed it by dragging the files in to the folder (followed the steps)
I mentioned that the game worked fine but the DLC's were not working. I couldn't find them nowhere in the game.
I decided to drag each dlc back in to the game folder which got me to the same error on the photo...
Please help me with this problem. Answering in English is good, but I mentioned one of you speaks Dutch right? Both good.

Re: Sims 4 gives the error unable to start...
1. When you apply the fix, you'll be back to the base game only. All other DLC's become "unworkable".
2. As you have played - or at least started DLC's, see the welcome-screens for the various expansions, the file GameVersion in the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\de Sims 4 is marked up to f.e. version 1.25.
3. As soon as you try to start a game with a lower version number than indicated in the file GameVersion you'll get the "Unable to start, update via Origin" error.
Solution:
1. Delete the file GameVersion from the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\de Sims 4 and start your game again.
No result ?
2. Copy/paste the files and folders from Get to Work, Get Together and City Living (in that order) to the root of folder C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4. Do NOT apply the fix !!!!
Still not better ?
3. Start your game as an Administrator from the file (or shortcut) TS4_x64.exe in Program Files(x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin.
Still no luck ?
4. Remove all previous installations and start from scratch or download and install the "all-in-one 1-click" Sims 4 from THIS SITE
That download includes all DLC's available (City Limits and earlier), download, mount in Poweriso, click on Setup and you'll have everything installed.
Full instructions (in Dutch) about the 1-click can be found HERE

Re: Sims 4 gives the error unable to start...
Thank you. The game works almost perfect. Beside that it crashes when I click on the personal traits in sims 4 to change it while im creating a sim. This is required so i cant continue...
