The sims 4 missing text on toddler interaction

Hi! So I've downloaded and installed the game and followed every instruction very closely and the game is up and working and runs fine. The only issue I have is that whenever I as an adult in the game interact with the toddler blank spaces without text shows up. You know like the bubbles that are supposed to contain the action you wish to do are just blank. The toddler furniture is also named debug, all of it.
