Sims 3 Harvest State Plants - No Harvestables

Hi guys,

This is the first problem I've had with G4TW's Sims in over a year. I have all expansions and no stuff packs installed.

The plants in my sims's garden are all on the harvest state and yet, are producing no actual fruits or vegetables to pick. My sim's life aspiration is master farmer, so this is a slight problem. 

I have looked up this problem extensively, and what people have said is to use either NRaas Tempest or DebugEnabler to fix it. I have tried both. With Tempest, the person said to set it so that hail and snow will kill harvestables. They said setting it to 100 would immediately solve the problem, but nothing happened for me. They didn't specify if it had to be winter at the time? I believe it was summer for me, so maybe if it had been winter it would have worked? Does anyone know? I didn't want to fast forward through 2 seasons just to find out. 

With DebugEnabler, no one ever explained what option you're actually meant to pick, but I assumed it was the "next growth state" one. So I did that to all my plants and they went from harvest to mature. I waited two days and the plants were harvestable again and they had produce on them. Yay, right? Except, the second I pressed on them to harvest, all the plants died and piles of bills equaling $19000 appeared around the fence of my garden for no reason. At this stage I quit the game without saving because I didn't want anything else to go wrong. 

Does anyone know what I did wrong or have a fix for me? Please, please, please <3

My first question I guess is are you using any mods that effect your gardening? If not then have you recently taken any mods out? If so, you may want to try clearing your cache files. Generally when moving mods out of your game, its always a good step. A guide for cleaning out cache files can be found here. Let me know if cleaning them fixes anything for you, if not, then we can move on to another method.

The first mods I ever put into the game were Tempest and DebugEnabler to try and fix this problem. No other mods or CC whatsoever. Should I still try the cache thing in that case?

I did what you recommended and the exact same thing happened with all the plants dying and the bills popping up around the fence. I don't know if one of the other mods has corrupted the game (I didn't save at any point?) or if this mod just has the same effect?

I'm not very clued up about mods like this. Don't really know where to go from here.

I would recommend the cache cleaning thing and see if the error still occurs.
