Sims 3 Crashing. [SOLVED]

Hi,

I have installed:

• Sims 3 (Base)
  
• World Adventures and
  
• Town Life Stuff
  

All fully updated

I have applied the Ultimate Fix thingy to the letter and applied the DEP exceptions to the EXE files.

My problem is that when I hit play on the Launcher it Hangs and crashes. When I try to run the game directly the first load screen is garbled and without graphics and when loading a town (New or Existing) it hangs at about 10% and again crashes.

If anyone could help me I would much appreciate it. I did do a search to help but i couldnt find anything other than what I have done.

Try ALL the fixes.

Do you have any Mods and/or Custom Content?

I have no Custom Content.

I should have already said that I tried all those fixes. I have Force Vertical Sync off anyway and I run programs that don't work under Admin then Compatibility just to troubleshoot before getting to google, nothing working so far

I had the base game working fine and it was after adding World Adventures I had issues. My plan was to play each game until I feel I've done most of it. The only reason town life stuff is on there is cause the fix requires it .

All drivers are fine and you can rest assured that my PC can handle it

Hello,

Instead of Town Life Stuff, you could also download and install one of the following expansions: Pets and/or Generations.

I will try adding Generations then I have little to no interest in pets lol.

Ill let you know how that goes, but my download speed is just s**t so it may take a while.

I don't know if there is any hope, but do you perhaps know of any MegaUpload versions of YOUR releases?

No, unfortunately no MegaUpload links. But we do have a CD/DVD Service (Server is currently restarting, online in 5 minutes). Might be interesting.

I did notice that,

I would like to take this point and say you have a great website here!

I normally like to buy my games and bypass the effort and time in downloading and cracking but as the full sims collection hits close to £200 I may well use the DVD service for the ones I don't have. Do you have a rough time frame for postage to the uk?

Hello,

Should be about 2-3 days. With a maximum of a week.

Nice. I'll do that then . Also I've managed to fix my issue by defragging electronic arts folder. No idea why that worked as it shouldn't have really. But it's working now so feel free to close the topic.

When I buy the disks I'll drop another post in the forum somewhere
