Sims 4 Unable to Start Empty Sims 4 Unable to Start

Post by Guest Thu 01 Jun 2017, 20:38

So I've downloaded the base Sims 4 as well as of the expansions, in order, up to the newest Parenthood. I followed the instructions exactly, and the game was working when I downloaded Sims 4 and Get to Work. I've also tried adding the ultimate fix but I'm still getting the "Unable to start: Origin is currently not running" error. I don't have origin running and I'm running the 64 bit on Windows.

Go to Program files (86) - Electronic Arts and change The Sims 4 to The Sims4 this worked for me.

Tried that but now I get an error from RldOrigin saying to the run the game as administrator (which I was doing) and to make sure the origin client is not running, which it isn't.

Open your game with TS4 not TS4_x64  as administrator. If this doesn't works I think you should reinstall the game and try again.

Hi @scottssummers and welcome!

You can try to download the .dll files here and make sure your anti-virus are either turn off, or you have added the Sims 4 folders to your exclusion lists.

Do keep us updated. Very Happy
