MC Command (3.5.0) doesn't work with update.
So, I read the other topic about the 3.5.3 version not working with the update and the workaround was to roll back to the 3.5.0 version, but it's just not working for me? I keep getting a Error Logged that says: "A script error has been logged to the mc_cmd_center.log filed located in the same folder as the MC Command Center modules..."
and in the mc_cmd_center.log file I get this:
[Jun-04-2017 14:59:49]Initializing MC Command Center version: 3.5.0...
[Jun-04-2017 15:01:15]Initializing Zone Data...

File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\filters\sim_filter_service.py", line 241, in _calculate_sim_filter_score
AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'calculate_score'
and I've no idea what to do? I'm running just the MC mod so it's not my other mods causing this Is it safe to keep running this version with the game anyway? Thanks in advance.

I got the exact same problem! Those same lines keep popping up constantly in the log file. The few mods I use are all up to date and compatible with my game version, and I just did a big cleaning on other CC, saves, tray, cache files and all that.
However, everything seems to work the way it should, except for the big orange message that constantly pops up in-game. But my game still seems to be running just fine and I don't notice any actual error. It is very annoying though to have the message show up all the time.
I also want to add that after the error lines you got, I also get these at the same time:
File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\filters\tunable.py", line 1518, in calculate_score
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'associated_bucks_type'
Haven't found anyone else except us with this error yet

Really? I just updated with the new fix and I also have the latest version of MC Command but I was afraid that it would break my game.Wiklysin wrote:It's working with MC command 3.5.3.
EDIT: I decided to try it and it really does work. Thanks.

If you've installed the latest update for sims 4 then I suggest deleting the MC Mod you have now cause it won't work anymore and download the latest one in their site, MC Command 3.5.3. Apparently, the MC Command version that you'll need will depend on your game version.

Did you delete the previous mc command version you have? If you haven't then that might be the reason. Before I updated my game, I've already had problems with the mod. And so I backed up my game files and decided to install everything from scratch following these instructions: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctlyEmmzor wrote:I've got the latest verison, everything up to date including both game and mods, but I still keep getting this error
Everything worked fine for me then.

Yeah, I recently reinstalled the game, updated to latest patch, cleaned out old and bad CC and got the latest MC command center, with no old verisons left, my game is as good and clean it can be pretty much, so I don't really understand why this error keeps popping up all the time I should also mention that I actually got the legit game, including all expansions/gamepacks etc. Your post is the only one I've seen that mentions the same error I recieve though.

I see. If that's the case, you could message deaderpool in his tumblr page and report the error you've got. I checked his page yesterday and he posted something about not having to update the mod since he found that there were no conflicts with the new sims 4 update and since you're experiencing errors, it would be wiser to alert him about it so he could look into it. Good luck.Emmzor wrote:dollonice wrote:Did you delete the previous mc command version you have? If you haven't then that might be the reason.
