Loading a Household sends me back to the Worlds page after new fix Empty Loading a Household sends me back to the Worlds page after new fix

I got the TS4 update and had the problem where it would just load forever when loading a household. I then added the fix and renamed my "game" folder and reinstalled parenthood. It no longer endlessly loads, but it instead sends me back to the world page when I load a household.

Hi,

Does this happen with a fresh save and no mods as well?

I am having the same problem after installing the new update today. I updated because after installing the Vampires DLC from games4theworld, the game kept  getting stuck at the loading screen after I'd click to play a household. I created two copies of the game with the update, one in Disc C and one in D. I tried playing both of them and they seem to have the same problem so it might e due to a problem with the installation of the update or a problem with the update itself. Any suggestions/solutions? Thanks in advance!

Having the same problem after installing the fix. I have no mods/CC, and this is a fresh save.

I've found the solution! If you're using the 32ver of TS4, make sure it's installed in Program Files (x86) / The Sims 4 and not Program Files (x86) / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4.

Mine was installed separately in Program Files (x86)/The Sims 4. I'll try to reinstall the whole game and see if it solves anything. If not, I think it is a problem with the files of the game.

I also had game installed in Program Files (x86)/The Sims 4 AND I tried to reinstall it again. I was able to play until I installed Parenthood. I also deleted all my custom content etc.

Since I too have installed the game on two external drives and once on my c drive and all three games are running smoothly ( i play them alternately, just to make sure, ) I honestly do not think that it has to do with the files of the game. I also had the indfinite loading screen plus the returning to world map issue, but reinstalling everything ( I fortunately keep a backup of all the torrent files ) removing tray, saves and mods folder out of documents/electronic arts/ the sims 4 BEFORE installing anything, making sure all the exceptions where and are in place and turning Anti virus and firewall off before installing anything, this solved my problem. You have to run the game vanilla every time. after all the different packs.

Basegame install, run game test CAS and actual game, exit, remove saves
Get to work, run game, test CAS and actual gameexit. remove saves
Get togeteher, run game, test CAS and actual game ,exit. remove saves
city living, run game, test CAS and actual game, exit, remove saves
toddlers and vampires and bowling, run game, test CAS and actual game, exit, remove saves
parenthood, run game, test CAS and actual game, exit, remove saves
parenthood patch from here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t30367-the-sims-4-patch-level-1-30-105-1010-out-now#, run game, test CAS and actual game, exit.
Doing this will help you pinpoint the pack which is giving problems, should there be any.

hope it helps.
