Household endless load still happens
I applied the fix (put the new game folder in archive programs/the sims 4) but still happens. What did I do wrong?

You probably forgot to rename (or to delete) the original Game folder before placing the new Game folder.

It was renamed. I tried deleting and still happens. The game is up to date, too (1.30).Tarac wrote:You probably forgot to rename (or to delete) the original Game folder before placing the new Game folder.

Did you updated to Parenthood as well? If yes, try renaming the folder again and then download the fix here and copy + paste the files. If not, update to Parenthood -> latest patch.

I had updated to parenthood, renamed the folder and downloaded the fix, but i tried again now. It says that the game cannot start bc there is game data missing or damaged.

I see. If you know which game pack is missing it's contents or 'damaged' you can re-install that game pack, and that followed by the other updates. For example if City Living is gone, re-install City Living, followed by Vampire and then Parenthood.ssapongpipong wrote:I had updated to parenthood, renamed the folder and downloaded the fix, but i tried again now. Re: Household endless load still happens
Hey guys! I've been dealing with the endless household loading issue for a few days now.
What I did today was: actually move the The Sims 4 folder FROM Program Files (x86) TO Program Files. (I don't know how I missed this step originally or if this is a new step in the installation process, but I have always played on this PC with the The Sims 4 folder in Program Files (x86))
Then, I deleted the "Game_" folder that I created as instructed as a possible fix here on the site. It did not work for me.
Then I downloaded the new "Game" folder here on the forum and voila! My game now loads in less than a minute.
I am guesssing that a lot of us, myself included, are just not following the instructions strictly enough. Be sure to take it step by step, even if you've done it a million times.

Moving from Program Files (x86) to Program Files has no effect at all.halfheartsims wrote:Hey guys! I've been dealing with the endless household loading issue for a few days now.

The new Game folder must have done "the trick" after you deleted the old Game folder.

I see. On a prior installation, I had the new Game folder while The Sims 4 folder was in Program Files (x86) and it didn't work. I assumed that was part of the fix but maybe I'd missed something else before! Anyway at least it's working now.Tarac wrote:Moving from Program Files (x86) to Program Files has no effect at all.halfheartsims wrote:Hey guys! In Program files (x86), you can only use the TS4.exe safely (the 32-bit version of the game). In Program files though, you can safely use both the 32-bit TS4.exe, and the 64-bit TS4_x64.exe. The 64-bit file mostly makes sense only if you have a strong computer.
I'm not sure though if that really affects the issues with the endless loading screens; I would guess it doesn't matter.
