BSOD while playing. Please help me find out the cause.

My sister and I have been playing for ~15 mins when the game froze and BSOD occurred after making my sim talk to her neighbor walking by. I wasn't able to read and capture the screen, it Blue Screened then black with a short message something like 'the system couldn't boot'.

I don't know if it's a faulty hardware or overheat issue, because it's sort of hot and humid in my room at that time and dust build up may have contributed as well.

Or if my PC barely handles the minimum requirements.
PC Specs:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @2.20GHz ~2.20GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

Please let me know if I could still play the game or am I probably gonna get another BSOD, thanks in advance. I currently uninstalled the game for now.

The BSOD could indeed be an overheating problem.
Clean the ventilation inlets.
Your graphics card should be able to play the game on medium settings

Thank you for your response! I will let you know if I get another BSOD. I was able to play it twice back then 'til that problem occurred.
