TS4 Ultimate Fix, no installation guide?

Hiya i downloaded the recent TS4 Ultimate Fix and it doesnt come with an installation guide and i was wondering what i have to do with the files in the "TS4_No-Origin_1-31-37-1021.rar" winrar file?

First of all, that fix is for people that want to play with the BASE GAME ONLY, no further DLC's.

.rar files must be extracted with Winrar.
You can then copy/paste the files and folders to your install folder of the Sims 4

Okay i done that and it now it opens and lets me play but its quite slow and doesnt load when you click on a household after creating the sims

Which DLC's have you installed sofar ?

If Vampires/Toddlers is your last one:
Delete the folder Game from your install folder Program Files\The Sims 4 and then download the new Game folder from HERE
Start your game as Administrator.

If Parenthood is your last one:
Delete the folder Game from your install folder Program Files\The Sims 4
Copy/Paste the folder Game from the Parenthood download to your install folder.

If Fitness is your last one:
Delete the folder Game from your install folder Program Files\The Sims 4
Copy/Paste the folder Game from the Fitness download to your install folder.

tried the above method as last dlc is parenthood and still doesnt work, i click a household, loads and takes me back to the map

Update your game to Fitness (1.31) and move out your Sims 4 folder in Documents to Desktop. Run the game with a fresh folder.

Hey, I had the same problem with the ultimate fix where there wasn't a "Installation guide". The thing is, if it's around 19MB, it's not the Ultimate Fix. The Ultimate Fix is around 2,8 GB and there exists a Installation Guide.

I used the direct link here (this is the announcement post) to download it.

You realize that this patch is for those who wish to play with the base game only ?
When you apply it to a game that already has DLC's, you'll loose these DLC's !

Yes, I am aware of that Smile

I play the game on the laptop that is not so great and that's why I decided not to install all the DLC and only the Ultimate Fix. ~~Oh, how I wish I had a better computer.~~

So what is the current problem for you? I'm confused because the ultimate fix on my end is 2.8GB.

First, that is technically not "the Ultimate fix". It is a compilation of modified game files that you re-apply in case something goes wrong (e.g. anti-virus programs tamper with the files). It is functionally similar to what we used to call the TS4 Ultimate fix, but it's not the same. To make our task easier it's important to use the right terminology.

Second, the reason there is no installation guide included is because the source topic on the Forum here actually describes the install procedure already:

Edit: maybe a friend gave you the link to the file you downloaded, without linking to the Forum post. If that was the case, you should ask in the future of where exactly someone got the file from. Smile
