The sims 3 pets crashes

I recently installed the sims 3 pets and now i get the unofficial mods warning followed by the game crashing when i select my family.
I've tried loads of different cracks and patches including the ultimate fix from here, I'm baffled and getting stressed out.
my system spec is as follows:

OS: windows 7 ultimate X64 SP1
RAM: 16GB
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5570
CPU: AMD Phenom X6 2.8Ghz
Hard disk: 4 x 2TB

Hello,
This problem is caused by either misplacing the crack from the official fix, using the temporary fix or using outdated mods.
Are you using any mods/cc?
Can you post a screenshot of the folder you copied the crack to?

I used the official one, not the temporary one and I've never been able to get any cc to work so I've never added any and I don't have any mods either
