I think you will have to re install. Are your files in Documents/Electronic Arts/The sims 4 still there? Than you have lost nothing.You must just re-install. I hope you still have all the downloaded G4TW files in a safe place?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, yes. I do not think merely copying the folder will do. If it's at the recycle bin however, you can try to restore it and see if it works? Also, I saw you mentioned you could not find the mods folder?
Try running the game once and the folder will be auto-generated for you. Check under C:\Users\User\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.
Do keep us updated!

Assuming you installed all updates until Fitness, I will try uploading my own...hold up. It's just a little over 50MB in size.
//EDIT

Again, assuming you have all (G4TW) Sims 4 torrents up to and including the "Fitness"-stuffpack installed. Extract with WinRAR and place the "Simulation" folder under C:\Program files (x86)\The Sims 4\Data.
When prompted, just choose "merge folders" and also "replace files in the destination".
