Sims 4 Jobs Issue. Empty Sims 4 Jobs Issue.

Post by Guest Thu 10 Aug 2017, 12:51

Hello!

So, I've started playing Sims 4 again after about 2 months of taking a break. Long story short, it seems like the "Get to Work" type of careers aren't working? Whenever a sim goes to find a job and I select the Doctor, Detective, or Scientist career, nothing happens. The career section in the bottom bar doesn't get updated with your usual job information, ideal mood, etc. More than that, it doesn't seem like the sim is going to work either. However, if I look at the sim's phone, it clearly shows all the options of an employed sim (quit job, call in fake sick, take vacation day, etc.)

Some extra information: I have a cracked game. The last update I took was Parenthood (because to hell with Fitness Stuff tbh). Before taking that Sims 4 break, everything was working fine. I have a crap ton of custom content, including Zerbu's "Go to School" and the Turbo Careers. I took them all out of the game (including other newer custom content such as hair, clothes, etc.) and, still, no change.

Does anyone have any ideas of what went wrong?

Thanks!

Mod edit: moved to the right section.

I found out that if I have a family that has a lot of data, has been played a lot, it often gets really glitchy. So did you try to change your household and see if it helps?

Hi @terrabisa,

Have you tried instead to rename your current Sims 4 in Documents to Sims4old and then run the game, providing you with a fresh folder? Try to see then if the GTW career works for you now. If not, although you don't like it, update your game to Fitness (there's really nothing though except the rock climbing lol) and see if they're able to go to work now.

If not, though drastic, re-installed your GTW again, then followed by the rest of the DLC. GTW -> Get Together -> City Living -> Parenthood -> Fitness. If say, you want to disable Fitness later on, take a look at this guide here.

Do keep us updated! Very Happy
