Cannot Install EPs

I have successfully installed TS3 - reloaded (base game) from TPB & it works great on my mac, however, I am having trouble with the EPs.
I have dl'd all of the EPs from G4tW and mounted them to the desktop following Dale's guide. I don't know if this is important but my base game starts without that little box launcher with the play button, it just automatically starts loading the game. When I attempt to install any of the EPs, stuff packs, or store updates they will not open up. I can click on the the installer icon in the folder but then it just 'bounces' in my dock & then disappears after a short while.
I do have the Ultimate Fix-Mac but it says that I must have pets, LN, etc. in order for it to work correctly & for the launcher to start, but I can't install any of these.
Can someone lead me in the right direction? Thank you!!!
