Insert Disk 2?

I uninstalled everything so i can reinstall i have done this several times and this is the first that ive gotten "please insert the disk: part 2" while trying to install the base game. Can you please help. (It wont let me attach picture)

Hi there,

Have you extracted the sims 4 base game using winrar? I'm sorry but could you tell me the steps you take during extracting/downloading. Unfortunately this is the first time I saw this error. Also making sure that the game is indeed Sims 4 and not Sims 3.
You can insert the screenshot either by insert image button or host an image.

To host the image -> click the button above -> Select files and choose your photo
If there's multiple photos, you can click on the send all button (blue), else, click the send button (blue) beside the image.
Wait until the green bar has finished loading and the next image will show you a couple of links options.
Just click on the image that you want and it will be uploaded here.

i believe i found the problem. I had all my files on a external hard drive and it wasnt showing up on my pc but it would on my moms laptop so i copied the files to a usb and tried to install the game off the usb so the exe file probally thought it was cd so i copied to my pc and it worked fine. Didnt think it would make a difference. I knew it wasnt the way i extracted them ive had them forever and they have always worked.

I have ALL Sims (Sims 1,2,3,4, stories, medieval) on an external drive.
Never had any problems, but maybe your external drive had no fixed station-letter (mine is always Z)

I think perhaps your pc was detecting it as a disk file (.iso) instead of the usual .exe. I'll keep the topic open should you have any errors/questions during installation.

what order do you install everything again.

I have the Base, get to work, get together, city living, toddler/vamp/bowling, loading screen fix, parenthood,fitness.

Am i missing anything. I know there two other fixes i also have 1.25 update and the fix for 1.20.60.1020

it has a certain letter assigned to it but it just wont pop up anymore. i used the assign letter in the letter port and it works fine on my moms laptop. it worked fine until recently i dont know whats wrong with it

Hi there,

You can follow the guide here. All that's left is the Toddler's stuff pack which will update your game to 1.33. There's no need for any other fix (1.20) and the 1.25 update is basically the Vampire DLC + Toddler.

nothing. I tried both ports they worked in and neither works anymore.

i would download the toddler stuff pack but i dont have unlimited internet at my house. Will it make much of a difference right now until i can download it?

Oh, of course not. You can play up till Fitness just fine without installing the new stuff pack. I'm guessing perhaps there's some new interaction/stuffs (lol), but other than that, you're not missing much.

No, not really. You can still play Fitness or Vampires

when i opened the games after installation said something that the game packs where downloading? and my sims relationship keeps decreasing every second and my sims still do there tasks forever or stand there and do nothing when there done

They won't be downloaded (unless you have bought them via Origin).
But it proves that some packs are missing in your game.
When your game has loaded just save it again.
Now your folder The Sims 4 in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 will match your installed packs.

Hi there,

Like Tarac mentioned, save the game after you had closed the pop-up. After that, try running the game again to see if the message is still there.
About your sims, if you have any mods/CCs, try to take them out and see the bugs are still there. Also, check to see if you have autonomy on of off under the in-game settings.
