Game won't load properly - very slow.
Hi, I'm new here and I would like to get some help regarding the difficulties I'm experiencing, so please help if you have the answer to my problem.
I downloaded all packs and installed them according to instructions. After every installation i have entered the game (to the main menu), just to check if
everything runs properly. It did, up until the 'parenthood' & 'Fitness' installation. That is, even after those installations, game loaded properly but what concerned me was that under 'Your collection' section within the main menu, all of the other packs were green (meaning I own them) while Parenthood & Fitness were grey and it was stated that I do not own them. Anyways, I tried to enter the game, everything seemed to be working fine, I was able to create a household but when I attempted to place them into a particular house and play a game, it wouldn't load. It took ages and nothing.
What seems to be the problem?
I tried few solutions which I stumbled upon while reading this forum, but nothing worked so I ended up un-installing the game. I would like to try it again if anyone has a possible solution.
Also, I have a question which appeared as I was installing the game.
When I first started the installation of Sims 4 this appeared:
"WARNING 4154.Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 x86 prerequisite was not correctly installed.continue installation of sims 4."
but I ignored it and continued with further installations of the base game and stuff packs. As I said earlier, It did load the game just fine despite this warning so I'm not sure whether my problem has any connection with this?
Also I did not turn off my Windows defender as I was installing the game. It that the problem possibly? If so, would it be enough to just temporarily turn it off as I install the game, and then after the installation just turn it on back again?
Please help.

Hi,
First make sure to read here to make sure that you will understand what I'll try to explain
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly#146695
Basically, you should download:
Base game
Get to Work
Get together
City living
Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling Stuff
Parenthood
Fitness Stuff
Important: Keep in mind to download them in the same order mentioned above!
After I installed the Sims 4 toddler, I did rename the "Game" folder into "Game_ ". You can also move out the "Game" folder, or delete it. Now you should install the Sims 4 Parenthood.
But, since the Sims 4 Parenthood pack has alot of issues, I had to download 2 more things that helped alot.
First: Ts4_parents fix: http://tinyurl.com/y9o7j99z
Second: Fix for endless household loading screen: https://goo.gl/9sSZKt
Finally, I installed the Sims 4 fitness stuff.
//EDIT
Visual C++ Redistributable Packages.
Here you can find it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Make sure to download from the link: vcredist_x64.exe AND vcredist_x86.exe
Mod edit: URL links shortened.

Re: Game won't load properly - very slow.
I have read the instructions, followed all steps, renamed the folder as it says.....still nothing.
Now I tried to install them all over again, and now I have problem even with the first (base game) installation..in the beginning it (again) says: WARNING 4154.Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 x86 prerequisite was not correctly installed.continue installation of sims 4.
and then after the installation when it says it is finished, I try to open it and it won't open/load...it says that I have to open it via Origin...
I really don't understand why it won't even open. At first installation attempt it worked and opened it just fine

Move the "The Sims 4" folder to this folder instead C:/Program Files/.Your new installation location of The Sims 4 should be C:/Program Files/The Sims 4
instead of C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

Re: Game won't load properly - very slow.
The 5 reasons for the Origin not running error
1. Your install folder The Sims 4 is inside a folder Electronic Arts, Origin Games or ZLOrigin games
2. Your AV has put the crack in quarantaine and prevents it from opening RldOrigin.dll
3. You copied TS4.exe and/or TS4_x64 instead of making a shortcut on your desktop
4. Origin or ZLOrigin is open (active) on your computer
5. You copied instead of moving the folder The Sims 4 out of one of the folders as mentioned in point 1.

Slow / endless loading
I'm having 2 issues also. The 1st is with endlessly loading and I just downloaded the fixes as shown in this thread.
The other has to do with the message about needing to go online to use my Packs. Today is the 5th time I've tried to install the base game and packs and I'm nearly over it - it is taking me back to the days when we used 3 floppy disks to install programs.
I downloaded the "Fix for Endless Loading" (twice) and have this error below.
>> [ C:\Users\Madcow\Downloads\TS4_Game_folder_1-31-37-1020.rar: Cannot create folder Game\Bin
The system cannot find the path specified.
! C:\Users\Madcow\Downloads\TS4_Game_folder_1-31-37-1020.rar: Cannot create folder Game
Access is denied. ]<<
I re-read the instructions for the patches and I extracted both the Fix for Endless and the patch from >>Download this folder
Extract with Winrar
Delete the existing folder Game from your install folder
Replace with this downloaded folder.<<<
I tried both patches and both returned error messages due to "game data".
I didn't try to use the Parenthood fix as I only have the patch for it, not the pack.
I have tried to install the base game and expansions up to and including City Living (I don't have enough data available for others).
I loaded the game each time to make sure it was running ok, after yesterday when I applied the latest patch to get an error message to do with my video card being *too old* pretty much.
Today I was 1 step away from loading my Sim into her household and the game stopped loading. Every time I have tried since then the game has frozen/stopped loading.
So that is how I ended up in the thread and downloading the "Fix for Endless Loading".
Thanks if anyone can help. PJ

Re: Game won't load properly - very slow.
As an ultimate try, you can do this:
1. Load a full folder Game (yes, it is for the latest DLC Toddler Stuff, but it should do the trick)
Extract with Winrar.
Delete the existing folder Game from your install folder Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4
Replace with the just downloaded and extracted folder.
2. Load a complete The Sims 4 folder (yes it is for all DLC's upto and incl. Toddler Stuff)
Rename your existing folder The Sims 4 in Documents\Electronic Arts to The Sims 4_old
Replace with the downloaded folder. (when you play in a different language, adjust the folder name to that of your language, f.e. Los Sims 4)
FOLDER GAME
FOLDER THE SIMS 4
When you now start your game as an Administrator you will be confronted with this:
Of course the uninstalled packs will not be installed, but just clck on OK, got to Cas and save the game now.
Restart again.

Re: Game won't load properly - very slow.
Thank you for that.
Following the instructions and suggestions, I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and made a new EA folder. I had to install one of the patches at the end. Now I am slowly putting all my mods back.
