Gallery Access. Empty Gallery Access.

Post by Guest Sun 27 Aug 2017, 18:09

i would like to know how i can make community items in the gallery, from a legit copy of the The Sims 4 base game, compatible with a pirated version. i've tried but to no avail, unfortunately. i believe both games are updated the same so i don't think that's the issue. is there something i need to do or something that i'm missing? any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance! Smile

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the only thing I can say is that at the moment, the origin patch is currently 1.34 while ours is at 1.33. Other than that, I'm not too sure about the gallery access/creation.

Hi there,

The ZLOrigin will indeed update your game to 1.34. But sadly, like I stated previously, I'm not sure how to do that. Unless you already know of course. Haha.

hi Smile, when you say you're "not sure how to do that" are you referring to playing the sims 4 using ZlOrigin?

For clarification:

1) YES, you are (at the time of me writing this post) able to download and play The Sims 4 over zlOrigin, but...

2) NO, you cannot access the Gallery, even with zlOrigin. You will still need an Origin basegame of The Sims 4 to do so.

I have an Origin basegame of The Sims 4, what i meant to ask was that if i were to download (tray files of) gallery items with my copy of the Origin basegame would those items then be compatible with the ZLOrigin version of The Sims 4? I've attempted it, but the items don't show up at all. I'm not sure what i'm missing.

In the zlOrigin Sims 4, when you are in the "Library" click the Advanced in the lower left. Tick the box include custom content, maybe (some of) the items will show up.

Other than that, I can't think of much else at the moment, I'm sorry. maybe someone else has a better idea. The thing is, both ZlOrigin and Origin games are on patch 1.34, therefore I'm not sure why you seem to be having these difficulties.

Do you have (2) folders "The Sims 4", under Documents\Electronic Arts? One should be from your zlOrigin, the other from your Origin. Are you sure you put the Gallery items under the right folder?

Also keep in mind that if you are running your game(s) in 2 different languages, you may get two differently-named folders. Like e.g. "The Sims 4" (English) and "Los Sims 4" (Spanish).

i actually only have one "The Sims 4" folder under Documents\Electronic Arts, i believe it's from ZLOrigin. So I should have two?

It's a bit tricky to explain, but try this. Rename your folder "The Sims 4" under Documents\Electronic Arts now, into something like The Sims 4 ORIGIN. Then you start up zlOrigin once, and then exit once you get to the main menu. You will see a fresh folder "The Sims 4".

Now transfer the "Tray"-items from "The Sims 4 ORIGIN" to "The Sims 4" (the latter being the one from your zlOrigin game). Now start again zlOrigin and see if the items show up.

You can use the ZLOrigin installation folder (as long as it is not within a folder Origin, Origin Games, Electronic Arts) for playing the Sims 4 either off-line, via the real Origin or via ZLOrigin by using 3 different Game folders in your installation folder The Sims 4.

a folder called Game (for the ZLOrigin-version, play and update via ZLOrigin)
a folder called Game_Origin (for playing via the real Origin, play and don't update via Origin)
a folder called Game_cracked (for playing f.e. the G4TW version, play the cracked version and if necessary update with latest crack)

To avoid the error "Unable to start, higher version, update via Origin" copy the file Default.ini from the Game\Bin folder to the Game\Bin folders of Game_Origin and Game_cracked.

In case you really want to update the real Origin, rename Game to Game_ZLOrigin and Game_Origin to Game
Once updated rename Game back to Game_Origin and Game_ZlOrigin back to Game.

When you use G4TW versions of the Sims 4, placing your current Game folder under the name of Game_cracked in your ZLOrigin installation folder gives youbthe opprtunity to play off-line
Starting with TS4 or TS4_x64 from Game_origin gives you access to the Gallery and downloaded CC can be used in all 3 versions as the same folder The Sims 4 in Documents\Electronic Arts will be used.
