Random Question. Empty Random Question.

Post by Guest Thu 24 Aug 2017, 23:04

So next Saturday is my birthday and I am thinking about getting some new games to play to spice up my gaming library. I have steam, a ps4 and xbox one... anyone know of any good games to pick up? I tend to like rpgs, survival horror and some first person shooters but am open to try a new genre as well. My laptop is not very beastly so mostly in the console gaming zone till I can upgrade it but its only had problems running some of the newer titles, such as Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition and the like.

Fallout: New Vegas? Very Happy

If you want something challenging, try The Binding of Isaac (Rebirth/Afterbirth) or Enter the Gungeon. Tip: consider using cracked versions of these games first, before actually buying them. There is a chance you will find them too difficult and frustrating.

I tip my fedora.

Depends if you want old games or prefer newer ones.

Old Ones;
• GTA San Andreas
• Saints Row (1 or 2)
• Any of the Arkham games
• DCUO (if you like online multiplayer games)
• Red Dead Redemption

New Ones
• Assassin's Creed: Origins
• American Truck Simulator
• Days Gone
• Skull & Bones
• A Way Out (if you have someone to play with you)

Bit late post and probably you already have one.
If you like rpg's, then look for the Divinity games from Larian.
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Divinity II: the dragon knight's saga

those are old titles. They are also bundled into the Divinity Anthology pack. Then there is Divinity: Original Sin, which came out in 2014. Just recently, in September the sequel was released. Divinity: Original Sin 2.  And there is the rpg and rts hybrid Divinity: Dragon Commander.
If you like some challenge, try then Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. There is also a Dark Souls III.
Dunno if you're familiar with The Elder Scrolls, but if not then grab The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind or just go for Elder Scrolls Anthology, which contains all 5 Elder Scrolls games, which are: Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
For completion i would grab Battlespire and Redguard as well, though they are different then the regular TES games.
If you like rpg's with some tactics then look to Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege II. Word of advice; don't get them from Steam, as they are not complete there. Both games got an expansion and steam doesn't provide them.
Looking for a group based one with dicerolling? I can recommend then The Dark Eye: Drakensang and Drakensang: The River of Time (don't forget to get phileasson's secret as well). The dark eye is the german answer to dungeons and dragons.
Another nice game, which got released on console first, later ported to pc, is Dragon's Dogma.
