My sims sometimes lags..

The game runs smooth tbh, but sometimes, the sims stop for about 30s-1min then continues to what I ask them to do. I can't even click on anything or even speed up the gameplay, though everything seems to work well, like the sims smile (just standing), the leaves move and there's sounds from the environment. Any idea how to fix the problem?

Frankly, NO
Even Electronic Arts could not solve this problem, reason why they launched version 1.69, enabling switching off some DLC's to reduce the workload.

Hi @dekomorikka ,

If you're talking about the Sims 3, then unfortunately, as Polarbear mentioned, it will start lagging every now and then.

However, seeing that you posted in the Sims 4 section, I'll assume it's Sims 4 you're talking about? If so, unnecessary items in inventory can sometimes cause these lagging issues. Try playing the game in windowed mode as well as lowering your graphics settings help as well. Clearing out old/unwanted items from your Trays also helps. Assuming you know which is which of course. For example you have a lot of custom houses/lots you're no longer using. You can delete those.

Else, go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and delete the localthumbcache.package.

Hello @dekomorikka,

If you are talking about The Sims 4, have you tried using the option "laptop mode", under your game options? Maybe it can help a little bit with your performance issues.
