PlantSim in ZlOrigin?

I'll assume you are talking about The Sims 4? Since the question was originally posted under the TS3 sections. In which case, I actually don't know. How do these TS4 "challenges" work anyway? Do they take into account the date/clock under your Windows operating system, and if so, if you change the date of your Windows system, would this affect these challenges?

Hi there, no, it has not. That was a challengewhich ran over a specific period only. BUT there is good news should you ant plantsims in your game. You can find the mod at mod the sims. Actually two. The plant sim trait and a mod that create random plant sims in game. In cas you can create hem from sctatch, like the vampires. Good fun.
And they work with ZLorigin and G4TW version as well

A related question to what I wrote above: if those challenges don't actually use the time/date of the operating system, do these challenges get "patched in" on Origin temporarily, and then "patched out" a bit later?

Well, most probably they are, since after a time frame runs it course, they disappear and that would be the easiest way to do it. I never played them. The only thing that remained in the game is the funny tree stump, where you could find the potion ( I think) that is used to change someone into a plant sim. However, it is locked. That tree stump is also "available" with ZLOrigin.

Although I have a legit basegame of TS4 myself, I never paid much attention to these 'challenges' (  should show you how much I care about this damn game   ). Admittedly, I spent most of my recorded playing time in Origin shortly after the official release, since that was the time I got the game. After G4TW started releasing the base game and especially the DLC, I quit playing the Origin game. 

These days I only use the Origin game for fetching Gallery items.
