Cats and Dogs update broken file

So I got the new Cats and Dogs update and I've been trying to add it to my game. I tried about 3 times, and every time it would give me an error message and the game wouldn't start.

After painstakingly adding one file at a time I've isolated the problem as the Simulation.dll file in the Bin folder. No matter how many times I download the torrent I have not been able to get an undamaged file. 

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hello and welcome to the Forum @impossibubbles,

Nothing is 'broken' (in the latest updates). my guess would be that you did not do (or forgot to do) step #7 of the guide here:

Note that this is meant for Windows in the first place, just like pretty much all of our torrents and guides. Look at some of the Sticky-messages in the MAC Fixes section though, maybe they can help you.
