Sims 4 keeps Crashing Empty Sims 4 keeps Crashing

Post by Guest Fri 17 Nov 2017, 03:43

Hello!
My game is constantly crashing. Honestly, right now I don't know what else to do. I've re-installed it three times this week, played without any mod or CC, lowed down the graphics, played in windowed mod, played in 32bits and 64bits... And it still crashing. Minutes ago I started a whole new game, from ZERO, and it crashed 10 minutes later.

It happens at any time in the game: building mode, simulation mode... It's very frustrating because you spend money in a really good computer, and buy almost every game, and at the end I'm not able to play.

My computer is an Acer E5-575G, Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz, 8GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M with 2 GB.

I try to do all the steps that The_gh0stm4n has posted, but 1st, I'm not able to move my installation folder, I don't know if there's a way; also can't install the game in any folder but "Program Files (84x)"; DEP topic gives me an error...

I would like to get some answers and solutions, please, I'm desperate. Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the Forum @hugobelluci and sorry for the belated reply,

You can go under C:\ and then right click on the folder Program files (x86). Choose "open in new window". So the folder will open in a new window.

In the original window, navigate to where you installed The Sims 4. Now right-click on the folder "The Sims 4" and hold the right click. Now try moving the folder (while still holding the mouse) to the other window that is open: to Program files (x86). I know it's a bit difficult to explain with words, but maybe you can give this a try.

There is also an easier method if you use Windows 10. Click on the folder "The Sims 4" so that it is marked in blue. Now click above on where it says "Home". There you can find the option "move to".

Please try that, and let us know how it goes. Smile

P.S. Also, what exactly do you get when you try the DEP?
