Sims 3 graphics/texture blurriness

I'm having issues with the textures in my Sims 3 game, most notably in CAS. They appear extremely blurry, even on the highest settings, with or without simsl3gacies HQ mod applied. I'm thinking it may have something do with my games being downloaded from here or a step I did wrong during installation, because my 2011 Macbook Pro running OSX 10.11.5 should be able to handle it (here's my graphic card specs). How do I fix this?

Do this only happens with CC or the default clothes are also blurred?

Since her face and hair seems okay, I would say at first that the texture of the clothes are blurred because the maker didn't optmize the texture correctly before saving it and simply used the sharpen tool in photoshop to make it look good in the post image. Many people over edit their photos and when you install the CC it looks different.

The simsl3gacies HQ will not make the textures HD if the creator didn't have that option in his creation.
