CC/MOD or CRAP GRAPHICS?

Assuming you have Cats & Dogs installed as well, I would 'blame' your hardware setup (yes, the graphics). Given the updated hardware specs of the Cats & Dogs EP: https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/cats-and-dogs-faq#q5

When does the crashing occur exactly though? Is it right at game startup, or does it occur randomly in-game? In case of the latter, try looking at the tips here in case you haven't done so already:

Plus, try lowering all graphics settings. Of course, you should try making sure that your mods/CC are not worsening your situation, either.
