Problem with launching the game.

Hello! I've been playing for so many months and everything worked perfectly. Recently I updated my game to Laundry Day and played a little, then yesterday I applied the newst patch availble... The game worked fine yesterday, but now when I try to open it, it just... doesn't start. There isn't any error, just the game doesn't start. I tried to run the game as an administrator, but nothing... I just click it, launch it but it won't start. Nothing happens... And everything worked just fine...

Starting the Sims 4 takes quite a long time before you notice anything at all.

I don't think waiting over 15 minutes is normal...
And it always took like 10 seconds

Can you also try renaming or deleting the "Game"-folder inside your installation of TS4? Re-download a fresh one here:

And put it in the right place; then try the game again. This particular folder is for the "Laundry Day Stuff"-update (version 1.38).

I would also double-check your anti-virus & Windows Defender exclusions; as "moving" and "using" certain files trigger unwanted effects. If it can be fixed by setting exclusions properly, then it's good. But if the security software stills destroys those files even with correct exclusions, then it may be time to think about uninstalling the antivirus program(s).

What should I do if I have this newsest version (1.39) installed? Should I put this 1.38 game folder you gave me?

Well I did that but it still won't launch... I'm gonna try to install Update once again... My antivirus has all the exclusions right, but I might try uninstalling it. Windows Defender is off.

And still doesn't work... I don't have my antivirus on and reinstalled but still won't launch

I noticed that in my Task Manager there is process TS4 but it disappears after 15 seconds 

If you actually have all the way up to 1.39 installed then you need to use a 'more appropriate' Game-folder as well, because the one I linked above was posted in response to your original concern (that you only had up to Laundry Day Stuff installed).

Alternatively you can also just take the "Game"-folder, from the 1.39 update itself; that one is identical to the thing I just linked to. 

Please test it, if you have not done so yet.

Have you tried running the game as "Administrator"? Do you remember changing or doing anything specific on Windows, before this error started showing up?

@slydolphin. I had the exact same problems as you did.  I tried everything that you did and nothing worked. For me it turned out to be a CC issue. I don't know if it will be the same for you but it's worth a try. The CC that caused trouble for me was by Rope. Once I removed the CC the game started as normal. Hope this helps. Also I don't know if it's worth noting, but I also took my Electronic Art folder from my documents and put that folder on my desktop forcing the game to generate a new one. After the game generated a new Electronic Arts folder I moved my mods (without the bad CC) and my saves back in the newly generated folder and everything was Gucci.
