Downloading new packs after deleting old ones? Empty Downloading new packs after deleting old ones?

Post by Guest Tue 20 Mar 2018, 22:25

Hi guys, I was just about to install Laundry Day Stuff when I noticed, in the installation directions, that Bowling Night Stuff and Fitness Stuff needs to be installed first. I had installed them but deleted them later using this method: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t30898-how-to-disable-uninstall-individual-dlc-from-the-sims-4-updated-on-16-03-2018 because I didn't need them and have limited space. Is this going to be a problem with getting new packs to work?

You cannot use that method in case you've missed some DLC's.
You'll have to install the missing DLC's in the correct order and then you'll have to re-install Laundry Day

Hello @nerdwantbrains

So you had everything up to and including Fitness Stuff installed, but then removed Fitness Stuff (and Bowling Stuff)? If so, you can apply newer DLC, but you have to install those items that come after Fitness:

-> Toddlers Stuff
-> Cats & Dogs
-> Laundry Day Stuff

Also note that AFTER you applied these DLC, you will need to edit the codex.cfg once more, to remove the old DLC. Remember, you essentially apply a new DLC & crack, so the text file needs to be edited again.

In case you did not notice yet, I updated the guide you linked to, just a few days ago, to include the new codex.cfg file.

Good luck!
