Does Sims 4 Studio work with The Sims 4 from here? [SOLVED]

I really wish i could use sims 4 studio is there any way to use it ?

Of course you can use it. I use it all the time and in the fixes section it is even advised to use it to fix cc after an update. So just go ahead. No difference to using with this version of sims 4than it would be as if you were using the legit game.

i cant make it work 
when i try to open it that is what i got:

When installing sims 4 studio the first time, you have to direct it to where your mods folder is located. Which should be in My Documents/Electronic Arts /The sims 4

i did it 
i deleted my s4s then i downloaded again on my:
C:\Users\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Sims4Studio
where i put all of my mods
 i still have the same error ;--;

Hi there, have you installed the sims 4 via the automatic installer? NOT the manual ( Zip folder )
Homepage, click on Downloading and installing sims 4 studio, Click on Downloading sims 4 Studio,Click on Beta version of Sims 4 Studio for Windows: Sims 4 Studio (Wishes),

scroll down to red DOWNLOADS There you have two options, the first is Installer, the second Zip. Click on installer, let it download and then follow instructions.



If you run it the first time, you will have to double check where it looks for the mods

This is the path c: Users\your user name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ Mods.

Than you let it run, it first needs to load all your mods. takes time.Good luck

I the cas objects wont show up
i open the s4s 
then on path i put:
C:\Users\myusername\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
then this show up:

then i Press ok
then i choose ''cas'' on the menu
i waited for about 20 mins nothing show up
then i closed the s4s and opened again and i got this error again:

i dunno what to do 




So the things is 
If I press on the 3 dots and manually choose documents, electronic arts, sims4 then mods. It won’t allowed me to it will give me the error box.
But is I copy and paste the the: c:\Users\myusername\OneDrive\Documents\Electronics Art\The Sims 4\Mods
It doesn’t give me the error box But its doesn’t seems to work also

Well, can you try turning off that "OneDrive"...? Usually right-click on the taskbar symbol and then choose "close" or whatever the wording is. So that your stuff gets completely saved under C:\Users\(your name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.

then i download s4s again
and i still have the same error

I'm having the same problem as you. Before I would use S4S all the time with no problem. But after this recent update that G4TW released it stopped working on me too. It says that it can't find my S4 game path, even though it has never said that before when applying new updates, and when I go to put the path in it also says that an error occurred. And so when I try to open cc the model is invisible. Maybe the new update messed something up that causes S4S to not be able to read that the S4 is located there?

This is really weird, cause I am completely updated with all the stuff and game packs and have the latest S4S running as well. No problem at all. I even deleted my S4S completely from the laptop, than re-installed without a problem. Just to check if I might get the same eroor. But everything running without a hitch. And all my games are from here or ZL Origin. Both versions of the game  use the same My documents/ Electronic Arts /The sims 4 folder. So, the new update DID NOT mess up anything. I can run S4S just fine! :)I honestly think the problem comes in with the One Drive storage.
Have you double checked if your The Sims 4 folder is indeed where you think it is? Changing the path alone without moving the Electronic Arts\ The sims 4 folder away from one drive will not help. Move, not copy /paste

First of all I don't know why you're so defensive of G4TW Loonieloose, accidents happen by some error or bug in the codes or by some files missing, and I wasn't even fully blaming them in the first place. Great! that yours works fine but just because it didn't happen to you doesn't discredit that our problem from the new update is invalid. Second, I don't understand why you're talking to us like we're idiots, we KNOW to MOVE things not copy/paste things when it deals to stuff like this, as it says in the readme.txt file multiple times to move things not copy/paste. And it was NOT a One Drive Storage as I have disabled mine a long time ago. Anyway, I did some digging and turns out that my Game/Bin file didn't have a Default.ini file which is what is used by S4S to detect that the game path is valid. So @NathiiSims check your [Your Game Path]\Game\Bin and see if your Default.ini file is there? If not redownload the update and see if it downloads the file this time because mine did not download it the first time and then just move it to your Game/Bin file and it should work now hopefully:)

Late reply, but one thing straight away, in general the files are the same in every download. There is a small chance of corruption taking place in torrenting, and in the event it happens you can try using a different bittorrent client for re-downloading, than the one you used initially. It is rare, but yes, sometimes it does happen. Which, by definition, would lie beyond the uploader's ability to influence it. As for the Default.ini, it is definitely included in the latest update (otherwise there would be a ton of reminders from users, and not just in this thread here).

There is also a point though in Loonieloose's argument, in that nowadays (!), copying the DLC is a tiny bit safer than moving. You need to remember that The Sims 4 and the cracked versions came out in late 2014. So did the initial draft for the installation guides, written by the old Admin. Back in the days it was rather uncommon, but nowadays you have these file permission errors rather frequently. Seems like especially Windows 10 is well-meaning, but in practice there are problems. In my own experience, it still doesn't matter if you move or copy, however. File permission problems such as not all files being moved properly, are rare. But if you want to be 110% sure, you can of course copy/paste. We have essentially stuck with the old guide-draft in all these years, because we don't really see any substantial reason for change on that end.

Copy/pasting essentially creates two copies of the same stuff: one copy is the one you downloaded, the other one is what you copy to the TS4 install folder. So copy/pasting needs more space (you can delete the surplus copy though at the end, to save space).

As for the rest, bear in mind please that we should be careful with inferring (a.k.a. draw conclusions) user intentions, merely from reading these online comments. Depending on the user's command of English, things may not be formulated according to the general rules of grammar. I believe Loonieloose's first language may not be English after all. Another common but less obvious point of friction is that e.g. questions are worded as statements, or vice versa. Not so much in this case, but happens often enough. Communicative intentions can oftentimes be unclear.

We will try and adopt some method of file integrity check for future TS4 updates, so that users can check it themselves if they suspect something is wrong with the files; we'll see.

@ Nathisims, in your photo I read the path to your Bin folder as Programfiles(x86)/The sims4/Gamemyfirstpetupgrade/Bin. Should that not read Game ? Maybe that is why S4Studio has problems finding it. It looks for the Game folder. The content of my Bin folder is exactly the same as yours.
And yes, my home language is not English.
Copy the Game folder from the last expansion pack into your install folder and do not rename it.Then try running S4Studio again.

i always change my game folder name cuz the instructions says so i dont need to change again when then new patch come and you were right.
i changed back to ''game'' and it works.

The meaning is, that once you applied the fix in the past, you can simply copy/paste future DLC over your TS4 game. But you cannot choose random names for these folders, still. These are two completely different things. You should always leave the folder as "Game".
