Can't download from Zlorigin...

I read the other threads from other people having problems but I didn't see anything that helped. I redownloaded ZClient so I'm pretty sure I have that working as it should...but when I load up ZlOrigin I get the message:

"Download Failed - Oops... windows blocked our attempt to download game content. If you'd like to allow Origin to download content to your computer, select "Retry" below. When prompted, grant permission with the User Account Control pop-up"

but there isn't a pop-up when you click retry.

If I try to download the update manually I get the message:

"Your download has been paused - Origin needs to download files and is waiting for permission. Please choose "Yes" when Windows prompts you for permission"

I don't know if I did something to cause this or if my version of ZlOrigin is out of date? I tried turning off my antivirus but it didn't help.

Is there somewhere you can download a new version of ZlOrigin?

Remove the old ZLOrigin:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ZLOrigin\unins000.exe (don't remove the folder)
Install ZLOrigin via your Zl-System folder - ZLOrigin - setup.exe (rightclick on it and install as Administrator)
When you launch ZLOrigin make sure you are connected with Zclient.

There isn't a executable called "unins000.exe" in that folder. There's "OriginUninstall.exe" though. That looks like it would uninstall Origin though...

The shortcut inside the ZLOrigin-folder to start the client is also named "Origin.exe". Does that mean it will start the real Origin? No, of course not. You can rest assured that the uninstaller inside the ZLOrigin-folder actually uninstalls the ZLOrigin.

The terminology (file names) may look confusing for the novice, but what would be the point of that thing, uninstalling the "real" Origin-client? ZLOrigin is completely independent of the "real" Origin-client.

Sorry I was just being paranoid. That makes perfect sense.

One thing, I'm not sure what Tarac meant when they said "Zl-System folder". I don't have a folder like that.

It's probably something really obvious...

Edit: I think I've got it working now.

Edit2: Nope, now I'm getting an "Origin is currently not running" error when I try to start the Sims 4.

Make sure Origin is NOT running

It's not running. (just Zlorigin)

I downloaded a new copy of Zlorigin online because I wasn't able to find the "zl-system" folder.
