the sims 3 base game error?

Hello

So i downloaded the sims 3 base game, and i keep on trying to mount it on different programs but there is always a message that says something about an error :\ help?

What does the error say?
If you need to mount it (I don't know - I have the disk), then try PowerISO. Just google it and it'll come up. The free version works fine.

I tried PowerISO, but when i try to mount the file, it doesn't do anything.

That's strange.

When you right click the .rar file once you've downloaded it it should give you a list of options. There should be one with a gold coloured disk saying powerISO. Set the number of drives to four or something and click add image to .daa

Did you do all that?

XD Oh well, i just tried that, and it only mounted the file 67%
And then I clicked on this file that came up, it was the setup for the sims 3, and so then it allowed me to install the sims 3, but half way through the installation it said: 'Please insert disc 1 that contains Caches/SunsetValley.Objectcache.

Hmm... Try going through with the normal installation and cracks and see if it works without mounting. If it doesn't once you've installed it, then try mounting it after installation.

Umm okay... Lol Im used to mounting the files, so can you tell me how to do the normal installation? XP

I really don't know, sorry. I have the legit disk, so... Facepalm

But what I can tell you is that you can read the installation guide found in the .rar file and that'll take you through a step-by-step process on how to install it.

Hello,

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When
you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and
drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is
done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now,
start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should
be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
