Weird Sims 3 + All ep/sp crashes

Hi, I have been using the sims 3 + all ep/sp from your site, including the ultimate fix. I installed MSS about 20 minutes ago and launched my game. It worked and stuff but it was really glitchy; I had it on 3rd speed and they looked like they were walking around at speed 1. So I shut the game down and removed a whole bunch of cc. I restarted my computer and went to the launcher but every time I click on it the launcher opens with the error "there was an error during start up, please see log for more details" then the launcher force closes. I also noted that on the bottom left corner of the launcher, where the patch version is supposed to be... well it had 0.0.0.0 instead of the correct patch. I have no idea whats going on. I have an high powered gaming laptop here's the specs

i7 quad core processor
8gb ram
duo graphics cards; 1. 3gb dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT555m & 2. Intel HD Graphics
1TB HDD

If you need any more info just ask, also I don't know where to check the Log for more details or i would have added them here

Ok, let's see.

When it finished updating, re-download and re-apply the latest version of the Ultimate Fix here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

I think I may have fixed it. I'll post step by step of what I done in case anyone else has this problem. Ok what I done was ...

1. Restart my computer.
2. Open my documents/electronic arts and rename "the sims 3" to old game
3. Open the launcher so that it generates a brand new folder.
4. Go to the old game folder and copy these folders.... Downloads, Mods, Saves, Savedsims, custom music,
5. paste those in your new "the sims 3" folder
6. Open the launcher and install your downloads.

I am installing all my downloads at the moment, but if it crashes again i'll try downloading patch 1.29 (that's my current patch. Dunno why it done all this all I did was install the SP and uninstall some downloads.) and reapply the fix. I'll keep you posted xD

I've tried 4-5 times to launch the game, I've launched it via the launcher, by clicking the ts3w.exe or whatever it's called, and by granthes custom launcher. The game goes to launch and freezes before the first EA logo comes up. It was working great before I installed MSS
