Sims 4 Seasons possibly killed my hard drive? Empty Sims 4 Seasons possibly killed my hard drive?

Post by Guest Mon 30 Jul 2018, 17:13

Hi guys! I just got my laptop back from my computer repair friend and had to install a new slightly smaller hard drive because the old one had a virus that wouldn't let me even get into my desktop. I was wondering if the seasons install was the culprit. I never download anywhere but here (always done correctly) and i downloaded the pack the day it was released here. The only thing I did differently was use the mirror link as recommended. The day after, my laptop crashed and my hard drive is toast. I can't even recover my pictures  Why God. I don't play any other downloaded games. Any ideas?

All G4TW downloads are 100% safe, so Seasons from this site will not be the culprit

I'm guessing your hard-drive/computer...

- was old already (if hardware is too old, then these things are bound to happen at some point)

- you used some peripheral device (e.g. external drive or something else) that is busted, and which short-circuited your computer

- or there was another problem with the electricity in your room/house/apartment/living place (power surge; seem to happen more often when it is warm).

If you still have warranty on the computer, get in touch with the vendor/manufacturer. Also, if you have an insurance in that living place that covers damages to the inventory, ask your insurance agent if and to what extent electricity-related problems are covered. In some countries it is standard practice that these household/inventory insurances cover that type of damage.
