Patch 1.46 content not showing up!

Hi guys! Thanks for all your hard work, as always!
I'm having an issue... I downloaded and installed the latest patch (146) and the game works just fine - but there were no changes other than the gallery looking different
There was supposed to be new build mode items and cas too... Any thoughts?
I have both game folders (one called game2) and the game is installed in C:\Program Files\the sims 4
I never had a problem like this with any of your packs/expansions/patches.
Any help is appreciated!
EDIT: not sure if it's related but now I can't place lots from the gallery... The screen freezes and I have to crash the game.

^that is usually known to be caused by outdated/incompatible mods.
As for the rest, you're not missing out on anything (else) than what you seem to be seeing.
But still, does it say patch 1.46 in the lower left corner, on the main menu?Plus, this new 1.46 patch does not contain a "complete" Game-folder. In the event you deleted your previous "Game"-folder, re-download one from the announcement here:

And try the game again.

I thought this was the patch that brought the Caribbean content and stuff...
I tried replacing the folders with seasons again and it says I need to update the game so I reinstalled the 1.46 patch. It now says 1.45.62.1020

Could you clarify that, please?
"Replacing the folders with Seasons?" If what I suspect is true, you are not supposed to tamper with the existing game installation files. You merely take the new update, and copy/paste the new update over your existing game installation. And then of course replace existing files and folders. Otherwise, check out this here:

Sorry I'll explain...
Since the update wasn't working I thought I'd go back to seasons. So I replaced the folders in the install directory with the folders from the season's pack (though I did copy the game folders to my desktop just in case) Obviously it didn't work because the game said I needed and update. So I replaced the replaced folders with the folders from the new patch again and the game is working (if still content-less).
As for the lot placing I moved my mods folder to the desktop and was able to place the lot. Now I just to find out what it was...

Ah OK, but you are NOT normally supposed to "downgrade" a game installation like that! Look...
If you have the hard-drive space on the computer, try always keeping TWO versions of The Sims 4, and on the same patch level. When a new update is out you copy/paste it over one of the installations If you notice there are problems, or your favorite mods don't work yet, then temporarily play again with the secondary installation of The Sims 4.
At this point I can't say much else (I still have technical problems, which have left me unable to contribute much to The Sims 4 lately); other than maybe try using that validator.

I figured it wouldn't work but I'm always trying to fix things by myself 
trying to learn...
I've tried the validator but I'm not sure how to use it to be honest... I went as far as to save the md5 file... I'll take some time to find out how it works.
Other than that the game works so I'll just keep playing and if I can't use the validator, hope the next patch/pack will fix it

Skip the MD5 section, just use the 2nd method

If you already have .md5 file, select it in first file input. Then select game folder in second file input. That's it. If your .md5 file is created correctly it will take a second (or even less) to generate result. If it's wrong - it will start hashing in browser. Just wait till it finishes.

Sorry to bother again but I did the validator (with the .md5 file) and got this...
From what you said I believe the fact that this appeared instantly means it's ok (?) but I still have the 145 version of the game and no Caribbean content... Anything else I should try doing or that I did wrong?

It clearly says "Game version: 1.45.62.1020". So... did you really re-install update 1.46? Do it again.

I just realized there was a confusion... I thought the new patch was 146 but apparently it's 1.45 still...
