Cats & Dogs Expansion Missing

Cats & Dogs Expansion Missing

I literally did everything I was supposed to do, but for some reason now, cats and dogs is missing from the game. I can still play it normally, but I cant pet a pet, and the icon for the Cats & Dogs expansion on the home screen is red instead of green.

Cats & Dogs icon is red. Seasons is green. You can run validator just to make sure everything's fine with installation folder but my guess are the mods. Take them out of "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods". If that doesn't help, rename "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder so the game starts fresh. You can copy your saves afterwards. If petting still doesn't work by now then I think your save is corrupted.

I'll post it once again:
Because you just deleted "Game_" folder and some of the files I told you to.
From what I see the only DLC missing is Cats & Dogs. And you didn't install the newest update.
First of all delete "Game_" folder and those files:
game/bin/origins.ini
game/bin/rldorigin.dll
game/bin/rldorigin.ini
game/bin/rldorigin_ext.dll
game/bin/rldorigin_x64.dll
game/bin/rldorigin_x64_ext.dll
If you already downloaded it from G4TW, extract just the "EP04" folder from "The Sims 4 - Cats & Dogs.rar". And then apply the newest patch.
If not, consider using my alternative installer.
Because you just deleted "Game_" folder and some of the files I told you to.
