Can't find electronic arts folder in program files x86?
Hello all, I've installed everything I need for the sims 4, and it was going fine until I got to step 17. When I go to my program files (x86) folder, there is no electronic arts folder. I followed all the instructions so I'm not sure what happened.

You can right click on Sims 4 desktop shortcut and select "show location".

Step 17 in the must read guide should be numbered as step 2a (immediately after installing the base game)anadius wrote:You can right click on Sims 4 desktop shortcut and select "show location".

That means you have moved the base game installation folder of The Sims 4. If you don't remember where you moved it, search your computer drives for the "TS4.exe", for example. But I'm pretty sure you can find it easily. Look for example under C:\Program Files (x86) directly.

Yes, yes, maybe it should. Though while we're at it, wasn't this guide posted on the Forum here as well? And then edited as "I could not fit everything into the post"? How did you manage to hit the Forum software limit of 65,000 characters per message, with relatively little text?
You probably copy-pasted directly from that weebly-page, including all the unnecessary HTML. If you want to copy-paste directly from other websites and into the Forum here, please mark the text with the mouse and use the function "Remove text formatting", located next to the function "Font".

I can't copy/paste from weebly even much smaller amounts of text. As soon as there is a numbered list involved it goes wrong.The_gh0stm4n wrote:pond wrote:

Re: Can't find electronic arts folder in program files x86?
I meant marking the text with the mouse on the page, and then right-clicking, choosing "copy", etc.
Pasting that thing on the Forum will still include unnecessary HTML code, so either one can try remove the formatting, or re-write the entire manually (more work).
//EDIT
And that is why you have to pay attention (to my previous message), and actually use the function "Remove text formatting".

Re: Can't find electronic arts folder in program files x86?
Thank you both for your help! Does this mean I have to re-download everything, or just the basegame?
