Plumbob Lamps Aura Doesn't Work?

I have plumbob lamps placed around my sims' house to enable moodlet auras during specific tasks that they do. They were working fine the last time I played them. But since I installed the My First Pet Stuff pack onwards (I installed them in bulk), they didn't work anymore while I play.  I already copied and replaced the codex file as per instructions from the My First Pet Stuff post. Still doesn't work. Game play is perfectly fine except for the plumbob lamps. Can you please help me? Thanks!

And if you use mods, try starting the game without them.

Currently running the validator. It might take a while due to the sloooooow internet here in my country. Apologies. 

I also deleted all the Mods in my Mods folder. 

By the way, just before I saw your reply, in my desperate attempt to fix the issue, I recopied and replaced the codex file in the Bin subdirectory AGAIN and when I launched the game afterwards, my Seasons pack appears to have been "lost" since it appears that I don't have it according to the Game Menu (which I do, since I was just playing it a while ago before I tried to "fix" it) I must have done something wrong to cause this. Sorry! 

Will be posting the results of the validator once it finishes.

Speed of the validator doesn't depend on your internet connection, it doesn't upload anything.

Where did you copy the codex file from? You probably took the one from My First Pet Stuff, that's why it shows you don't have Seasons. Don't worry, let's wait for the validator result and I'll tell you what to do.

Just delete those files:
game/bin/rldorigin.dll
game/bin/rldorigin.ini
game/bin/rldorigin_ext.dll

and get "game/bin/codex.cfg" from Update 1.46.

So.. I did everything that you said. Fixed the Seasons thing so we're all good. Except for one, though. Which is the main concern of this post. The plumbob lamp still doesn't work. Emotional Aura is enabled. Tried enabling and disabling it, still doesn't do its job. My sim is literally right next to it. NOTHING.

Move your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder to Desktop. This will start the game clean. If it works now, close the game, move Desktop\The Sims 4\saves folder to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and start the game.

Okay. So I did what you said. It works perfectly fine when the game is clean. Used a new sim and a new house and placed the lamps. Perfectly fine. It enables the moodlet for my sim. But when I transferred my saves and loaded my current save, it didn't work again.

Also, I would like to add some things that I have noticed in my game. I cannot clear the bulletin board. My sims glitch when they try to clear it. I tried resetting the board and replacing it entirely with a new one. Still doesn't clear up.

And, I cheated the flirty moodlet on my female sim for months now and I can't seem to remove it even if my the time for the moodlet has already passed. It resets back to 50days after the time for the moodlet is over. I tried resetting my sim, hard resetting and sims.remove_all_buffs. NOTHING WORKS.

Now, I am thinking.. It might be my game that's broken? Should I abandon this save and play a new one? It's so hard to thing of starting all over again since this save is my favorite. I know it's just a game and I can just play it again. Still.. I wish there's still a way..

Did you copy save only or save+mods? If save only, then the save file is corrupted. If save+mods/CC, then it could be because of mods.

You can try to restore previous save.

I copied Saves, Tray and Screenshots only. No Mods. Already deleted them as per your previous advice. So, it could be that my save file is corrupted?

Yup. You could try with Saves only, but I doubt Tray/Screenshots could cause it.

And next time there's an update, make a copy of Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder before starting the game with mods. Always assume that your mods are broken after the update (all of them will be broken in upcoming update by the way) and check if there are updates for them or any confirmation that they work with new game version.

Okay. I guess I'll just have to play a new save then!
