The Sims 3 version 1.66 blank menu

People shouldn't be able to open the game that is on version 1.66 in the first place. (Since there is no working crack for it yet. So they probably used an outdated crack, which is not going to work, of course)

I've read about that in the forum, and I'm tempted to try this myself, but..

If you re-apply the 1.66 manual patch, it will basically overwrite all crack-files. And if you then apply the NoCD-mod, does the same happen ? I've heard people saying "nothing works", but I strongly guess they put in an outdated .exe file AND the NoCD mod.

But no, I'm not going to screw around my working game just to test that; at least not until the NRAAS mods have been updated.

Of course, this can also be caused by outdated (NRAAS) mods too.

Yes, it seems that the work on the NRAAS mods is continued by other modders (see this topic here).   And yes, it's still a good idea to backup the 1.63 stuff (manual patch + crack).

According to this, most 1.63 mods are probably going to work with 1.66 too, but of course, you can only be sure of that after the mods have been properly "playtested".
