The Sims 4 Update Version 1.47.51.1020 OUT NOW!!

Wonderful Peoples of G4TW!!

We will now throw the next patch toward you! The Sims 4 version 1.47.51.1020, which is a follow-up patch for "Get Famous". You MUST have Get Famous installed already before you can safely apply this update. It is 2.74GB in filesize, and as usual contains a complete "Game"-folder plus all 17 language strings.

We also recommend deleting again your "Game"-folders, (from where you have TS4 installed), before applying this patch.

248 to be precise. That's because CODEX makes xdelta updates while G4TW just packs files that changed. Why? Because people got used to it and it stays. Of course you can use CODEX updates, you just need to remember to download language strings if you're playing in language other than English since CODEX updates are English only.

i'm using utorrent too but it still won't start downloading... our internet is also too slow for direct download

My own experiences with these "xdelta-patchers" are not particularly positive. Back then, I got them from that cs.rin.ru-forum, but I soon stopped using them, and instead I am now using ZLOrigin for grabbing all the necessary update files. Really can't tell what - if anything - I did wrong, but these xdelta-installers never worked for me: it would beautifully list every individual file that was to be updated, but there was always one or two files that just would not update, and the whole process was being aborted. 

The G4TW repacks are (sometimes a lot) bigger, yes, but the positive thing is that they can be applied safely. Well, normally I guess.

Plus: everybody has the free option of where they grab their updates, for that (highly-overrated) "life simulation PC game". Nobody is forced to use the G4TW repacks.

I couldn't understand why the file size was so large compared to the other, especially in a low size update. Now that you've explained, it makes sense!
So, while codex installs the patch, just like in origin, g4tw releases the entire files modified by it(replace files method)to apply the update, right?

It's alright. 

In other news: Gallery-items downloaded from an Origin basegame (version 1.47.51.1020 of course), still work in G4TW/CODEX-versions of The Sims 4! One exception: pets still don't work.

Am I the only one who experience bugs on the latest patch? I have sim working on acting career, and there is an option on selecting an agency whether AI staffing agency and Everyday extras talent agency. Then on AI Staffing Agency, there is a description saying "Consider AI Staffing, [applicantName] ! ..." I think it is supposed to appear your sim's name but it's not showing. I saw a lot of words with brackets "[ ]" like that. Just want to know if you experience the same thing.

Hi, hope someone is able to help me here.

I have updated to both the Get Famous and this update. However, when i try to start up the game, it stays at the loading screen (which shows MAXIS), loads a little then crashes. Happens for both the x32 and x64 version. I deleted the "Game" file before applying the update but it still happened.

Wish someone with some experience can help :-)

Try re-applying the "Get Famous" torrent first (copy/paste/overwrite), and then re-apply this 1.47.51.1020 patch. See if it makes any difference.

Did you install all torrents, as required and mentioned here?

Are you also sure you copied and pasted this new patch, over where you have your game actually installed? You should get a message about whether you want to overwrite existing files, and you should click "yes".

Also make sure to remove all script mods.

Hey, I hope it's okay for me to post here, but I'm having a problem even downloading the Game folder, for offline play. It's the only way I play, and the Game folder for the Get Famous download worked with no problem, and this is literally the last piece I need to be up to date and play.

I have Windows 10 and I'm using Chrome (but also have Firefox) and I've tried to download it, and originally Chrome wouldn't let me as it claimed there was a virus attached. I temporarily turned off my virus protection and tried again, and now all it will say is "Failed - Download Error" when I try, and I'm getting no other info than that, and I don't know what to do.

I'm literally at a loss. It could be I'm not tech savvy enough and I missed something I needed to shut off, or my computer is reacting to the site it's hosted on (I have no idea) but yeah...is there anything anybody can do to help me? :\ I don't know what else to try and I've been trying to figure it out for a couple hours already and nothing is working.

Did this update solve the problem for Alpha Hair CCs?
It's the only problem I've had with the new expansion pack, might not be worth downloading if it doesn't fix my main problem
