I've recently downloaded The Sims 2 Complete Collection and downloaded some CC clothes to put into my game. After I put both the textures and the meshes into the Downloads folder, I ran the game to see if it worked, but it just shows up as winterwear in CAS. I've tried copying the files into the Downloads folder again a few times but it didn't help. Is there something I did wrong when installing the CC? (The files aren't Body Shop/Clean Pack Installer files)

Just to clarify; by ''shows up incorrectly as winterwear'' I don't mean it just shows up in the Outerwear category; the texture it shows up as is the texture of an outerwear outfit included in the vanilla game.

Welcome to the Forum,

Is there any (third-party) custom content, that is working for you? A.k.a. have you tried downloading more items, to see if those work in the game?

It's probably not going to work, but it still doesn't hurt to install the "Color Enabler Package", if you haven't done so already. See the other guide here:

I have CEP installed because I downloaded some recolors for vanilla furniture which show up and work just fine. CC hair also shows up correctly and loads fine on the sim. Maybe the clothes are just corrupt somehow or not the same version as the game.

Gatekeeper Edit: problem solved, topic closed (I guess?). Have fun, and feel free to get back in touch with us again anytime!
